Ashley
graduated with distinction from QUT in 1998 after returning from
the AIS in Canberra. Ashley’s interests in foot and leg injury
stemmed from his own sporting endeavors in Track and Field and Surf
Life Saving. Ashley remains a nationally ranked 110 metre hurdler
and Beach Sprinter and he will line up for the 2004 Athens Olympic
Selection trials in February. As a former Qld Junior and Open Hurdles
champion as well as Junior and Open Beach Sprint Champion and now
a nationally accredited sprints and hurdles coach with the Australian
Track and Field Coaches Association he is more than qualified to
assess the biomechanics of walking and running for all ages and
levels.
Ashley’s experience includes working with athletes in Canberra
at the AIS and also the Qld branches of the AIS like rugby and Canoeing.
If not treating patients at one of the eight Foot Analysis Centre
franchises you may find him out amongst the millions at Currumbin
alley, surfing (his favourite past time away from Podiatry and running).
